OUR STORY

How we started

 

I began cooking and baking in my grandmothers kitchen learning what her mother and grandmother taught her.  Cookies, cakes and pies both sweet and savory. Everyone had a job to do in the kitchen ..stir, melt, kneed, roll, cut, fill, slather, bake and decorate. Cooking soon became a celebration every day, bringing family together, laughing, singing and eating and most of all enjoying every bit of life..

   Food quickly became my life - a way for me to bring instant smiles and complete gratification to the masses.  After graduating culinary school under the finest pastry chefs in the country and honing my skills in several New york city fine dining establishments and working my way up to Executive Chef I decided to start my own line of miniature desserts Called Whoopies Miniature Dessert Co.

  Whoopies Miniature Dessert co. began April 20th 2011 in a small kitchen. We began baking thousands of cupcakes, pies, birthday cakes, wedding cakes and miniature dessert glasses called shooters, all made in small batches and from the finest ingredients and freshest produce.  We take pride in every product we make and source most of our produce from local farmers, markets and import our miniature shooter glasses from Italy.  But our namesake was derived from one of my favorite desserts - Whoopie pies​ !

 

 Our whimsical elegant desserts are perfect for Any occasion whether its just dessert for a small intimate gathering  or a show stopping dessert bar at your wedding or bridal party.
